Brian Reynolds – President, CEO
Brian has been involved in the helicopter industry for more than 30 years which includes his entire adult life. He has been president and CEO of Northwest Helicopters since 1985. A graduate of the University of Northern Colorado, Brian has nearly every pilot rating issued by the FAA including Commercial, Flight Instructor, Experimental, and other type ratings. He has over 10,000 hours of accident free flight time currently flying about 300 hours per year. He has taken the company from a single employee and expanded it into a worldwide operation. He is one of the primary test pilots of our products, attesting to his confidence in his employees and the quality and reliability standards attached to each. The scope of business is now primarily helicopter maintenance, upgrades, and refurbishments. Brian has taken the lead in the marketing area, specifically, Bell Helicopters UH-1H and MD helicopters. Paul Faul – Controller
Paul is a licensed CPA in Washington State and is a graduate of Washington State University where he obtained his B.A in Business Administration with a minor in Accounting. Paul’s background includes over 10 years of accounting experience, working in public accounting, healthcare, manufacturing and now aviation. He is responsible for the accounting and legal aspects of the business operations for the companies under the control of Aero Management, Inc. Paul also tracks insurance costs, negotiates with our customers and works in coordination with the CEO on other assignments, as needed. Paul is a hands on accountant with the depth and diversity needed to maintain and expand the accounting needs of Northwest Helicopters as we continue to grow. Jeffrey Winner – Director of Maintenance
Jeff’s experience in performing aviation maintenance started in 1989. He has extensive aircraft maintenance training, including Rolls-Royce/Allison engine and Bell Helicopter factory training. Jeff has his Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Powerplant mechanics license and Federal Aviation Administration Inspection Authorization. In addition to developing, implementing and managing the inventory control program for Northwest Helicopters, he has performed all aspects of ground support, including scheduled and unscheduled aircraft inspection and maintenance, aircraft component overhaul, logging support, fertilizing, spraying, commercial hazardous materials vehicle and equipment operation, fire fighting support and aerial construction. Jeff has also been in charge of the UH-1H remanufacturing program that has seen the delivery of over 30 ships worldwide since he joined our team in 2004. Doug Uttecht, Chief Pilot/General Manager, Flight Operations
Doug has been with our team since 2006. He has been flying helicopters in the Northwest for more than 25 years and has a vast amount of experience in all the types of rotorcraft operations. Doug is not only qualified as a Commercial Helicopter Pilot but he also possesses an Airframe Mechanics Rating and is a certified Air Traffic Controller. He manages the day to day operations of our Flight department including the pilots, drivers, drug and alcohol program, FAR 133, 135, and 137 certificates, contracting and marketing, and still flies as an active pilot. He has experience in the MD 500, Bell 206, 205, and UH-1H, and the Hiller 12E with more than 12,000 flight hours. Tom Spithaler, Customer Support & Sales Manager
Tom comes to NWH with over 25 years’ experience in the firearms manufacturing industry supporting law enforcement, military and government agencies worldwide. A United States Army 11B Infantry soldier, his Army career culminated after having returned as a Combat Veteran of Desert Storm where he served under the 18th Airborne Corp with the 82nd Airborne Division.
His experience in manufacturing procedures, production engineering, new product development, communications and marketing is a valuable asset to the team. Tom not only manages the Service and Sales sections of the Customer Support Team, but is also the contact point for Marketing, Social Media and web development for both Northwest Helicopters and Mechanical Specialties. Tom enjoys being active with his local church, writing, photography, hiking and kayaking with his family, and has been a drummer all his life.
